MERIDIAN
The Pool Deck
A meridian is a line of convergence — the point where north meets south, where morning crosses into afternoon. MERIDIAN sits at the building’s centre of gravity: lower-ground level, where the pool deck opens onto the landscaped gardens and the architectural relationship between indoors and outdoors is most deliberate.
The pool is twenty-five metres — a proper lap distance, not a plunge pool dressed up with the word “infinity.” The water is temperature-managed. The depth is consistent. This is a space designed for the resident who swims in the morning before work and expects the pool to be ready, not decorative.
Adjacent to the pool, a sunbathing deck with loungers faces the garden. Natural light enters from the garden-facing facade, and the pool is positioned to receive morning sun without afternoon glare — a detail of orientation that only matters if someone has thought about when this space will actually be used.
Separate men’s and women’s changing rooms with showers and lockers serve the pool. The finishes match the residential specification: the same attention to material that defines the apartments extends to the amenity spaces. The changing rooms are not an afterthought; they are the threshold between a working day and the act of swimming.
